Oman's foreign minister meets international business council chairman in New York

New York: On the sidelines of the meetings of the UN General Assembly, Yousuf bin Abdullah bin Alawi, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs met with the chairman of the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) , Kerry Aldor and a number of the members of the BCIU.
The meeting reviewed ways of further enhancement of aspects of cooperation between the Sultanate and the BCIU, mainly in the field of economic and industrial relations between the Sultanate and some global economic groups, for the common interest .
Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, the Sultanate’s permanent representative to the UN reaffirmed that the meeting has reviewed the economic and investment benefits and the investment opportunities available in the Sultanate for all US companies and economic groups interested in cooperation and partnership with the Sultanate.
Alawi also received, at the permanent residence of the Sultanate’s delegation at the UN, a Syrian opposition delegation which praised the of the Sultanate in reaching an appropriate solution to the Syrian crisis.
