Oman takes part in world youth assembly in India

New Delhi: The Sultanate is participating in the activities of the Alumni of the Ship for World Youths’ Global Assembly in New Delhi from September 20 to September 27. One hundred and two youths from 24 countries are taking part in the event.
The Sultanate is represented in the event by the Omani Association of the Ship for the World Youths. The global assembly is one of the biggest international youth assemblies concerned with international cooperation among the youths of the world, The participants of the programme of the Ship for World Youths’ Global Assembly on day one of the event presented the activities of the associations and promised to carry the message worldwide.
The Ship has so far visited 31 ports to spread the spirit of voluntary work, leadership and coexistence. Oman is a leading country in the programme of the Ship for World Youths as it has participated nine times with more than 100 youths since the launch of the programme in 1989. The Ministry of Sports Affairs supports the participant of the Sultanate in the programme.
