Oman crime: Police arrest three over separate knife assault cases

Muscat: Three suspects who allegedly stabbed their victims in three separate cases have been arrested by police forces.
An Arab expatriate was arrested by the Royal Oman Police just when he was attempting to escape the Sultanate via the Muscat International Airport after he had allegedly assaulted a compatriot with a knife.
According to police reports, the victim and the assailant got into an altercation in Al Wadi area in Wilayat Salalah due to some disagreement. The suspect stabbed the victim repeatedly. The victim was rushed to the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah.
In another case, the Department of Inquiries and Investigations in Dhofar arrested a suspect who had allegedly stabbed a man with a knife following an argument.
Similarly, the Department of Investigations and Inquiries in Muscat ROP arrested an Asian national who had fled after allegedly stabbing his colleague with a knife. The suspect was under the influence of alcohol in Al Qouf, Salalah. After inquiries and investigations, the suspect was tracked down in the Muscat Governorate.
The victim is receiving treatment at the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah.
