Oman dining: Nothing like a Weekend Brunch

Lazy Fridays can now begin deliciously, thanks to Holiday Inn’s new Friday Brunch arrangement. Known as Fizzy Friday, this is a result of a tie up between Holiday Inn and Air Asia to provide its guests and visitors a supreme supper in the Omede Restaurant.
The beautiful restaurant in the basement of the hotel is divided into the seating area and the buffet area. The atmosphere and ambience in there is calm and relaxed, just how you’d like your Friday noons to be.
It is an ideal place to bring your girl gang and chat away to glory while feasting on an array of mouthwatering dishes that will put you in multiple dilemmas all at once; which dishes to eat, how much of each to it, maybe another round, oh no, I’m on a diet, ahh forget it, it’s my cheat day.
These are some of the thoughts that will cross your mind because of the irresistibly wonderful looking and tasty dishes that will lure you to the buffet counter over and over again. Some of my favourites from the buffet were the roasted turkey with cranberry sauce, the chicken and beef sausages, and the smoked duck.
They were all well cooked with the right mix of spices and sauces. However, it is the array of chocolate and other desserts such as chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, marshmallows dipped in chocolate fountain, and the puddings that I couldn’t keep my hands off.
The Friday Brunch that will go on until December 16 also provides a chance to one of their lucky visitors to win a ticket for two to Bangkok along with a bed and breakfast basis stay at one of the Holiday Inn Hotels in Bangkok.
