#OmanPride: Mission to collect one million used books begins in Oman

Muscat: A group of book enthusiasts started a mission to collect one million used books in Oman.
In a bi**media[504189]**d to raise awareness about the importance of reading, more than 30 university students started collecting used books to display them later in an exhibition.

“We will give away some of the books to the needy,” said Maktoom Al Sinani, a member of the group.
So far, the group collected a couple of hundreds of books only but Al Sinani said they will open the exhibition when the have enough quantity.
The money will go to charity work like helping the underprivileged people and visiting the ill.
