Oman's Salalah Air seeks to become regional leader in aviation

Salalah: Salalah Air made a presentation yesterday about it at Hilton Salalah Hotel under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Amri, Advisor at the Office of the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar for Technical Affairs in the presence of Marhoon bin Said Al A’amri, Director General of Tourism.
In his presentation on the company services, Sam W. Owen, Salalah Air’s CEO said, “Salalah Air is an entirely Omani-owned company built on the use of a modified form of the Small Aircraft Transport System, with bases planned at Salalah, Sohar and A’Duqm.
He added that the company seeks to be a regional leader in providing aviation services as per the Omani cultural heritage. The company will work closely with Oman Air and A’Salam Air to provide complimentary services that will be of benefit to the Sultanate.
On her part, Bodour bint Ghanim Raidan, Deputy CEO of Salalah Air praised the Public Authority for Civil Aviation for giving licences to establish and operate a local and regular air carrier.
The company will complete formalities to get commercial air operator certificate in coordination with the civil aviation experts in Oman.
