Muscat Securities Market Forum to open on Tuesday

Muscat: Eleventh edition of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) Forum will kick-off on Tuesday under the patronage of Abdullah bin Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
The two-day forum will be organised by the MSM, in collaboration with the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), represented by the College of Economics and Political Science.
Activities of the forum will include educational exhibition for the participating entities, and some corners devoted to activities of the students at the College of Economics and Political Science to showcase the best student experiences in investment, as well as displaying researches related to the stock market sector.
On the sidelines of the forum, a workshop will be held on the financial analysis. The workshop aims to enable students to understand and explain the method of calculating financial statements, in addition to enabling them to link what they learn in the curricula with the practical side of the workshop.
Government and private institutions, including CMA, Muscat Clearing and Depository Company (MCDC) and brokerage firms operating in the field of securities will take part in the forum.
The forum will be attended by officials from SQU and MSM, as well as officials in the capital market sector, and SQU students.
