Muscat: Carillion Alawi snatched a 17-run win against OCT Mabella despite the excellent bowling figures of 5 for 29 off 3 overs from Khalid Al Balushi. The Khimji Ramdas sponsored Intermediate Cup T20 match was played during the weekend at the Municipality Ground No.2 at Al Amerat.
Electing to bat, Carillion Alawi were bowled out for 167 off 19 overs, thanks to a sterling 65 from Pawan Kumar. Sharif Pindook lent Khalid valuable support in the bowling department, ending with 3 for 23 off 4 overs.
In response, OCT Mabella were restricted to 150 for the loss of nine wickets at the end of the 20th over, with contributions from Sharif Pindook 38, Khalid Al Balushi 35 and opening batsman Salim Ismail 33. Ram Hridaya Ram picked up three wickets, conceding 21 runs off 4 overs.

Assarain B, aided by a belligerent unbeaten 93 from opening batsman Mohammed Naseem, trounced Landscape Architecture by eight wickets in a Khimji Ramdas sponsored Junior Cup T20 Knock-out tournament match played at the same venue during the afternoon session.
After deciding to bat, Landscape Architecture were bowled out for 130 off 19.4 overs, with a top score of 34 from Ali Raza Mohammed Munir. The bowlers to be amongst the wickets were skipper Ranjith Nair 2 for 16, Somanatha Poojary 2 for 17 and Anoop G.P. 2 for 31 off 4 overs each.
In response, Assarain B raced to their target, scoring 134 and losing two wickets off 15 overs.

Muscat Electronics registered a 43-run win against Bank Muscat in a Khimji Ramdas sponsored Junior Cup T20 Knock-out match played at the adjoining ground No.4 at Al Amerat.
Opting to bat, Muscat Electronics scored 198 for the loss of seven wickets at the end of the 20th over, thanks to a second wicket partnership of 54 runs between skipper Sanoj K. Abdu opening the batting scoring 68 and No.3 batsman Wajid Ali 29, and a further seventh wicket partnership of 68 runs between K.G. Bentick 44 not out and C.V. Vijeesh 25. The bowling honours were shared by Nilmani Gautam 3 for 32 and Shaivakumar Menon 2 for 38 off 4 overs each.
Requiring a fraction less than eight runs per over, Bank Muscat managed to reach 155 for the loss of eight wickets off the 20 stipulated overs. Major contributors were Osman Abdul Nabi Othman Al Zadjali 59 and Nilmani Gautam 46. Jebin James and Sanoj K. Abdu bagged two wickets each, conceding 24 and 33 runs respectively off 4 overs each.

Requiring 193 for a win and a place in the next round, Al Nahdha were bowled out for 157 off 18.4 overs. Major contributions came from Imtiaz Akhtar 39, Shahid Ali 26 and Sajid Hussan 21. Murtaza Haider Shah an
