Al Zubair returns after attending summit in Thailand

Bangkok: Mohammed bin Al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs returned home yesterday evening after leading the Sultanate's delegation in the 2nd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit, which was held in Bangkok from October 8 to 10.
The Sultanate's delegation comprised Sheikh Yahya bin Abdullah Al Fanah Al Oraimi, Head of Economic Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry, Said bin Saleh Al Kiyoumi, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), government officials and businessmen.
Al Zubair and his accompanying delegation were received by some officials.
The 2nd ACD Summit was organised under the theme “One Asia, Diverse Strengths. The summit discussed opportunities and fields of cooperation among the member countries to convert Asia into one society that can interact with the rest of the world to ensure more prosperity and welfare for the Asian nations.
A forum for businessmen was organised during the summit, in addition to discussion panels on the financial link and innovation among the Asian countries, as well as discussing aspects of strengthening investment activities and businesses in the future economic sectors in a bid to achieve sustainable development.
Al Zubair was seen off by the Thai Minister of Scientific Research, Head of Protocols Department in the Foreign Ministry, Abdullah bin Saleh AlMaimani, Sultanate's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand and members of the Sultanate's Embassy in Bangkok.
