Oman Football: Oman to host F5WC qualifiers

Muscat: The Sultanate will host qualifiers of the F5WC, world’s largest amateur five-a-side football tournament, during December and January.
Founded in 2014, the F5WC is created and managed by Sport Events International, specifically for amateur football players aged 16 and over from around the world.
The qualifying team from Oman will book a berth in the 2017 F5WC World Finals scheduled to take place in Chinese capital city of Beijing next year.
Walid bin Juma Al Obaidani, CEO of Suna’ al Riyadha Company, that organize the qualifiers, said: “The tournament is one of the top championships for amateurs and is aimed at amateur players who are not registered with any sports clubs.”
The Sultanate’s preliminary qualifiers will take place in coming December and January across all the governorates of the Sultanate. Oman finals will be held in Muscat in February, 2017.
