Muscat Municipality to open new slaughterhouse in Al Amerat

Muscat: The Muscat Municipality will open a new slaughterhouse in the Wilayat of Al Amerat today.
The abattoir which occupies 15,000 sqm with a built-up area of 2,265 sqm is equipped with stat-of-the-art machines and high technical standards.
It also includes four stockyards and a car park that can accommodate 100 cars.
With a 680 sqm slaughter hall, the slaughterhouse has the capacity to handle 1,000 in a single session.
The slaughterhouse’s other facilities include a waiting room, dedicated zones for the cutting and freezing of meat.
Muscat Municipality has set up a number of slaughterhouses following the closure of the main slaughterhouse in Bausher. —
