Oman Golf: Al Turki signs up again for NBO Golf Classic Grand Final

Muscat: Following its successful participation in last year’s event, Omani construction company Al Turki on Monday renewed its supporting sponsorship of the National Bank of Oman (NBO) Golf Classic Grand Final.
Taking place at Almouj Golf from November 2 to 5, the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final is the culmination of the European Challenge Tour’s “Road to Oman” 2016, which includes 28 tournaments across 22 different countries.
Al Turki will use its construction expertise to provide scaffolding support over the duration of the event, including for the viewing terrace and hospitality tent overlooking the spectacular 18th green of Almouj Golf.
Dhiren Khimji, Director of Al Turki, said: “The NBO Golf Classic Grand Final was a highlight of 2015 for the Al Turki team and we are delighted to be involved again this year. The facilities available to spectators at the event are on par with anything found globally, meaning visitors of all ages can enjoy a great day out while watching some of the world’s best golfers compete for the prestigious title of NBO Golf Classic Grand Final champion.”
Andre Loots, NBO’s Chief Operating Officer and Head of the NBO Golf Classic Committee, said: “We are delighted that Al Turki has come on board once again to support the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final. This event continues to bring together the best Omani and international companies in a coordinated effort to develop the sport of golf in the Sultanate and wider region. With just weeks to go until the final, we look forward to working with Al Turki and our other partners to deliver a truly exceptional event.”
Since being founded in 1976, Al Turki has earned a reputation for delivering high quality construction, products and services to customers in a timely and safe manner. Today, Al Turki is one of the leaders in Oman’s construction industry with a workforce of over 7,000 people.
Golfers at the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final will compete for a share of a €400,000 prize fund, with the top 15 players in the final “Road to Oman” rankings earning playing cards for next season’s European Tour International Schedule.
After 21 events, Germany’s Bernd Ritthammer currently leads the “Road to Oman” standings, followed by England’s Jordan Smith and France’s Romain Langasque.
