US imposes anti-dumping duty on Al Jazeera Steel products

Muscat: A final anti-dumping margin duty of 7.24 per cent from Oman for the export of circular welded steel pipes to the United States was issued by the US Department of Commerce, according to Al Jazeera Steel Products.
Other countries which are affected by the anti-dumping duty are Pakistan, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
“We have taken up this matter with International Trade Commission (ITC) for reconsidering the above rates and ITC’s is slated to make its final injury determinations during end November 2016,” Al Jazeera Steel Products said in a disclosure statement.
Al Jazeera Steel believes that the determined margin/duty will not have impact on the company’s revenue and profit.
