Oman weather: Fog covers parts of Sultanate

Muscat: Fog has covered Sharqiyah and Dahirah region while Oman coastal area is affected by dust, Oman meterology department tweeted on its official twitter handle.
“Fog and rain clouds have covered Sharqiyah and Dahirah region. Oman coastal area is affected by dust,” the tweet read.
Oman meteorology department has also predicted rain, dust and dip in temperature in Oman from this evening for the coming three days.

In a notice uploaded on its website on Sunday, the department said that the Sultanate may get affected by a trough of low pressure with chances of cloud advection and light isolated rain over governorates of Musandam,North Al-Batinah, South Al-Batinah, Muscat and South Al-Sharqiya starting from evening November 21 until the 24th.
“Strong northeasterly winds will result in drop of the temperature and reduce horizontal visibility due to dust. Sea state is expected to be rough along the coastal areas of Musandam and Oman Sea with maximum wave height ranging between 2.5 to 3 meters,” the notice added.
