Sayyid Fahd hails progress in Oman during Renaissance period

Muscat: The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) Higher Committee held a meeting yesterday at the Opera headquarters under the chair of His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers.
Achievements
At the beginning of the meeting, Sayyid Fahd pointed out the comprehensive Renaissance achievements witnessed by the Sultanate over the past decades; thanks to the wise vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Sayyid Fahd added that the ROHM is one of the evidences of His Majesty’s keenness to promote all fields, especially culture and arts.
The meeting included a visual presentation on completing the basic facilities of the ROHM so that it can carry out its mission perfectly.
Sayyid Fahd hailed the cooperation of the citizens and their role in supporting all the efforts made to ensure the “progress and prosperity of our dear country.” On the other hand, the meeting highlighted the distinguished level of the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra, as well as all military music troupes that stage elite performances.
Sayyid Fahd stressed that ROHM is now known on the world level as a hub for elite arts. The ROHM will also play an effective role in encouraging the Omani arts and producing some programmes that have cultural and historical dimensions. The meeting included a detailed explanation on the future trends of the ROHM.
