#OmanPride: Royal Hospital hosts book reading initiative for children

Muscat: Royal Hospital hosted a book reading programme launched by the British Council and HSBC, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
The programme will be carried out in six government hospitals in Oman, where dedicated rooms have been set aside for children to receive books.

The rooms will have 53 books, both in English and Arabic, for children up to 13 years. HSBC volunteers will visit the facility once a month to engage children and read stories to them. Paul Hilder, Director of the British Council in Oman, said this combined programme focuses on education for children who are unable to go to school due to illness.
