Here is what the Salam Yiti riviera in Oman will look like

Muscat: The multi-million Salam Yiti Riviera project will create a hilltop community, complete with a golf course, apartments, townhouses, villas, and a main boutique hotel.
According to the project’s architects, Villarroel Torrico, the surrounding mountains create special challenges.
“As you can see in the drawings, the difficulty of the site is its steep topography. But we have converted this challenging topography into a great opportunity to design luxury residences with all units having incredible panoramic views,” Matias Villarroel said.
The buildings are carved into the mountain, minimising the cost and the environmental impact of the construction. Villarroel believes that if construction were to start today, the project could be finished in 3 to 5 years.
“What is very interesting about this design is that we were engaged to study the Omani architectural tradition and design, and develop a new Omani style that should reflect the rich Omani history and traditions,” Villarroel added.
Although the main attraction is the golf course, there will also be a leisure club, a marina and eco-centre, as well as a souq. The estimated land area is 250.000 sq m,with a built area of 130.000 sq m. The present-day canal is to the right of the image.
