Oman, Germany review bilateral ties

Muscat: The Sultanate and Germany reviewed relations between the two countries.
They also discussed issues related to trade, investment, renewable energy, transfer of education, science, knowledge and technology, pushing tourism sector forward and ensuring its sustainable development, as well as benefiting from the German expertise in scientific innovations and ways to utilise and market them to transform them into productive industries. The 14th session of the Omani-German Joint Committee was held at the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry yesterday.
The Omani side was chaired by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry while it the German side was led by Matthias Machnig, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
Additionally, the two sides discussed the constant progress being witnessed by the Omani-German relations in various cultural and educational fields, in addition to the importance of expanding and diversifying joint interests in various areas, endeavoring to enhance and push such interests towards broader avenues.
