3. Al Sawadi Beach
Al Sawadi Beach is a safe beach for swimming provided you do not venture far out into the sea. It is also a good location for snorkelling as it has some of the world’s best corals. An hour’s drive from Muscat, there are many uninhibited islands visible from the coastline.
Warning: Beware of kiteboarders, those riding jet-skis

4. Al Falaj Swimming Pool
The Al Falaj Hotel at Darsait has two pools, one big swimming pool and one kid’s pool, open to citizens and residents, besides the hotel’s guests. This is a very popular pool for seasonal membership during summer and has the service of a swimming instructor.

5. Yiti Beach
Located about 25km from Muscat, Yiti beach is considered a beautiful and quiet destination for a family picnic, to camp and to swim. Locals also provide small motorboats for short trips along the shore.
