Pakistani envoy holds talks with Times of Oman

Muscat: Pakistan’s ambassador to Oman, Ali Javed, recently held a warm and informative meeting with Times of Oman Chief Executive Editor Scott Armstrong.

The ambassador praised the long-standing relationship between the Mission in Oman and Times of Oman

The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest as well as new venues of cooperation especially focusing on Mission’s public diplomacy initiatives and salient achievements of young Pakistani students as well as activities undertaken by Pakistani Social Club and community members to promote the bonds of friendship with Oman.

Mr. Armstrong welcomed the contributions of the Pakistani community in Oman and praised the achievements of the Pakistani youth in the fields of sports, arts and academics. He stated that Times of Oman would partner with the Mission to accord appropriate coverage to the substantive number of over a quarter million Pakistanis – the third highest expat population in the Sultanate.

The Ambassador also accorded a comprehensive briefing on the strength and status of bilateral relations as well as salient prospective activities and presented a copy of inaugural edition of the Embassy’s Newsletter.
