Royal Opera House Muscat celebrates its fifth anniversary

Muscat: In celebration of their fifth anniversary, the Royal Opera House Muscat has announced its first ever in-house production, ‘Celebrating Oman: The Great Journey’. The 90 minute show includes 40 Omani children from the schools of Muscat, more than 30 Omani musicians and three desert camels from the Royal Camel Corp.
His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahad expressed his excitement over the new production as well as the ROH’s past independent shows as well.
“Since the early seasons, the ROHM Board has been keen to present independent productions such as the annual military music concerts, the annual Omani Women’s Day Celebrations, and various rhythm and oud Festivals,” HH said.
“This wonderful production is ROHM’s inaugural co-production and represents the first major step in implementing the plan of the ROHM Board to present shows co-produced pr produced by the ROHM,” HH added.
The free ticketed event will be presented on ROHM’s Maidan outdoor space on the 5th, 6th and 7th of January 2017.
