“She was buried at around 4pm,” Azra Aleem, former director of the Pakistan Social Club, Oman, who attended the burial, told the Times of Oman.
Shohaiba, and her pregnant mother Waheeda Aurangazeb, were seriously injured after being hit by a truck at a busy junction in Ruwi and dragged along the street at around 7pm on Monday.
Waheeda, who is six months pregnant, was returning home from Badr Al Samaa, in Ruwi, with Shohaiba, Marwah, and Abu,after visiting her sister-in-law who had delivered a baby.
“Waheeda is still under medication. Medics will decide later whether she needs to undergo surgery,” Azra added.
“After meeting her sister-in-law and the baby, Waheeda, Shohaiba, Marwah and Abu were crossing the road towards KFC, when she was hit by the truck. Waheeda fell down and Shohaiba came under the wheels of the truck,” Azra said.
The other two children were unharmed as they had crossed the road before their mother and younger sister.
