MUSCAT — On the occasion of the new Hijri year and anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Hijra, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has exchanged greeting cables with Arab brotherly and Muslim friendly leaders.

His Majesty expressed his sincere greetings and best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life for them, praying to Allah the Almighty to return this happy occasion on them with prosperity and make the New Year, a year of peace, security and welfare for all peoples and for the Islamic nation to achieve its aspirations and hopes.

In their cables to His Majesty, the leaders of the sisterly and friendly countries expressed their sincere greetings and best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan, praying to Allah the Almighty to return this blessed occasion on His Majesty for many years to come and he has achieved aspirations of his faithful people for further progress and prosperity, the Omani people wellbeing and progress.

His Majesty the Sultan exchanged greetings with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Highness King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
