SALALAH — Sheikh Salim bin Aufait Al Shanfari, chairman of Dhofar Municipality and chairman of the main committee of Khareef Salalah Festival 2007, presided over the opening ceremony of the education pavilion organised by the Ministry of Education as part of the Fourth Educational Summer Forum Programme.

The opening event was attended by Saud bin Salim Al Buloshi, undersecretary for educational planning and human resources development at the Ministry of Education, and a number of officials in Dhofar governorate.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Salim bin Aufait Al Shanfari also presided over the inaugural function of the photography exhibition organised by the Omani Society for Fine Arts in Dhofar governorate.

The photography exhibition, which continues till August 2, includes 48 photographs on Oman’s environment, nature, heritage and folk arts with the participation of eleven photographers from the Omani Society for Fine Arts.
