MUSCAT — The Sultanate will celebrate International Tourism Day today along with other countries. The International Tourism Organisation has selected ‘Tourism opens up new horizons for women’, as this year’s theme, recognising the significant role of women in future of international tourism.

In this context, the Ministry of Tourism has formed a special committee to organise the celebrations as part of International Tourism Day.

Yahya bin Amir Al Kayoumi, head of the tourism minister’s office and chairman of the committee tasked with organising International Tourism Day, said the committee had completed all preparations to mark this occasion, by highlighting the role of Omani women in development.
