MUSCAT — National Bank of Oman (NBO) will hold its third charity fair today and tomorrow at Al Safeer Hypermarket in Azaiba, to raise funds for charity organisations based in Oman.

Shaikh Yahiya Bin Sulaiman Al Nidabi, deputy wali Bowsher, will inaugurate the NBO Charity Fair, which will be held from 9am to 1pm and 9pm to midnight on both days.

NBO and the local charitable organisations will set up stalls at Safeer Hypermarket’s first Floor.

Items donated by local corporates, individuals and NBO staff members, will be put up for sale.

The proceeds from the charity fair will be distributed equally among all the local charitable organisations namely: Oman Charitable Organisation; Oman Association for the Disabled; Association for Early Intervention for Children with Special Needs; Association for Welfare of Handicapped Children; Al Noor Association for the Blind and Dar Al Atta Charitable Organisation.

As in previous years, a special corporate account, to enable individuals and corporates to donate towards the cause, has been opened at NBO’s CBD branch. The account number is 1049-498808-002 and will be active for two months.

Taqi Ali Sultan, NBO’s general manager — Organisational Effectiveness — said: “NBO is and will remain committed to supporting and creating awareness about this important segment of society as well as towards raising funds for them. We encourage everyone to come forward, participate and donate generously and help make the third NBO Charity Fair an even greater success this year”.
