Iran, Oman discuss security issues

TEHRAN — Brigadier Ahmadi Muqadam, head of Internal Security Services in the Islamic Republic of Iran, received here yesterday Lieutenant-General Malik bin Sulaiman Al Ma’amari, inspector-general of police and customs; and the delegation accompanying him, who are currently visiting Iran.

The meeting discussed aspects of bilateral co-operation in the areas of police, combating drugs and organised crimes, as well as sharing expertise between the two countries as to develop the functioning of the police. Brigadier Ahmadi Muqadam called on the importance of developing relations between the two countries in all spheres. He described the relations between the Sultanate and Iran as ‘exemplary’, especially as the Sultanate is Iran;s neighbouring country.

Lt. Gen. Al Ma’amari and his delegation visited some of the police exhibitions and workshops in Tehran.
