MUSCAT — His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, deputy prime minister for the Council of Ministers, received here yesterday the heads of delegations taking part in the 20th meeting of the GCC Agricultural Cooperation Committee.

During the talks, Sayyid Fahd expressed the Sultanate’s appreciation for the continuous cooperative role being played by the committee between the GCC states, supporting the establishment of agricultural industries and projects and upgrading capacities and human expertise for more production.

Sayyid Fahd also praised the efforts being exerted by the agriculture ministers in dealing with the challenges facing such an important sector.

He also stressed the importance of the topics on the meeting’s agenda and their role in enhancing the joint action to cope with modern time requirements. The meeting also dealt with ways of developing cooperation between the GCC states.
