UoB receives appreciation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Research & Innovation
In celebration of Omani women and in furtherance of their key role in the country’s growth and development, University of Buraimi participated in MOHERI ceremony celebrating Omani Women’s Day that falls on October 17th annually. The ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, at Kempinski Hotel Muscat.

The Ministry was committed to organizing this ceremony in order to send a message that underlines the high efficiency of Omani women in assuming their national responsibilities, side by side with men in all sectors of work and production, in addition to their role in representing the Sultanate in regional and international forums. All this, while also meeting their family obligations in preparing the future generations.


The ceremony featured honoring a number of outstanding women from various fields including several UoB female staff members, who provided invaluable contributions during their long tenure at the University. Among the honorees were: Ms. Sheikha bint Salem Al Nuaimi, Ms. Sheikha bint Rashid Al Mamari, Ms. Noura bint Rashid Al Issai, Ms. Aisha bint Saeed Al Asmi, Ms. Rahma bint Salem Al Sawai Ms. Nahla bint Khalifa Al Saadi, Ms. Rahil bint Ali Al Zaidi, and Ms. Aisha bint Khalfan Al Nuaimi.


Notably, the university administration has received a letter of thanks and appreciation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for its contribution and support to the success of this remarkable event.
