Muscat: In one of the rarest cases in Oman, the cinema houses here have opened advanced bookings for Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Jawan almost 3 weeks ahead of the film’s release on September 7.
Normally, the advance bookings open around a week before any scheduled release of a movie.
Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most popular Bollywood stars across the globe but there is a big craze for the Indian superstar in the GCC region.
Be it the UAE or Oman or other countries, he is undoubtedly one of the most sought -after actors and his movies evoke huge interest.
And cashing in on the fan base are the movie houses with a lot of excitement and hope to the latest starrer of Shah Rukh Khan – Jawan.
The SRK fever has already started gripping Oman with people started buying tickets.
Vox cinemas in Oman are offering advance booking at seven of its venues – Azaiba, Nizwa Grand Mall, Muscat Grand Mall, Mall of Oman, City Centre Suhar, City Centre Qurum, and City Centre Muscat for a total of 41 shows daily with the first show beginning as early as 11am.
Options in Standard and MAX are available for the cinema buffs.
Online booking options at VOX Oman gives the option of advance booking with the first show on September 7, 2023, the official release date.
Besides Vox, Cinepolis Oman has also announced advance booking and put up a promo for advance booking.
The first show in Oman will be at Cinepolis Oman at 10am on September 7. At its three venues- Oman Avenues Mall- Muscat, Oasis Mall – Salalah and Oasis Mall – Sohar.
With two categories – Standard and Macro, the first day of the movie will be offered in a total of 31 shows.
Meanwhile, reports have confirmed that advance bookings have also opened for the movie in Germany, USA, Australia and the UAE.
Recently, SRK released the film’s second song Chaleya, in which he can be seen romancing Nayanthara.
Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s second release of the year after Pathaan, which created history at the box office.
After Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, which also stars Taapsee Pannu. Dunki is expected to release in December.
Besides Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, other actors in Jawan are Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, Deepika Padukone and Vijay Sethupathi.
The movie is an emotional journey of a man who is set to rectify the wrongs in the society, in an attempt to get even with his past, driven by a personal vendetta while keeping up to a promise made years ago. Jawan promises to be a high-octane action thriller.
