Muscat: The State Council on Wednesday held its 11th regular session of the third annual sitting of the sixth term under the chair of Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council.
During the meeting, it approved on Wednesday a proposal submitted by the Culture, Media and Tourism Committee on the ‘challenges facing traditional crafts and how to address them’ and decided to form a technical drafting committee to include the remarks of the members regarding them.
“The proposals aims to highlight the major challenges facing craft industries to identify the solutions that develop and activate their role in the national economy,” said the head of culture, media and tourism committee. The State Council paired the proposal and its importance in enhancing the contribution of craft industries to the GDP.
The State Council also reviewed a number of reports related to its works.
