Ooredoo gets the ball rolling with Clubs' Youth Camps

Muscat: Ooredoo attended the inauguration of the Clubs’ Youth Camps, held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex yesterday, under the auspices of Rashad bin Ahmed Al Hinai, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Sports Affairs.
The Club’s Youth Camps cater to members of sports centres and clubs aged 18 to 25 and consist of a variety of workshops and seminars in arts, sports, management, administration and science, aimed at equipping them with the skills and the knowledge required to enhance the quality of each of their respective clubs. Also included is the ‘Development Village’, launching tomorrow, which runs workshops teaching key skills in electrical work, mechanics, interior design, and coding.
All part of Ooredoo’s commitment to empowering youth and supporting the growth of local talent through sports and community engagement, the company is proud to support the Clubs’ Youth Camps this year. Attracted by centres throughout the Sultanate, many of the country’s youth will have an opportunity to share experiences, get to know, and learn from one another. With the addition of volunteering opportunities as well as field trips to key tourist and cultural destinations within Oman, participants will work together to give back, explore Oman’s rich heritage and history, and build on these experiences together with their peers. Those camps aim to promote unity among participants, allow participants to share different acquired experiences, as well as showcase Oman’s hidden jewels.
Driven by its values of championing social growth, Ooredoo has earned a reputation for working with recognised sporting teams and government institutions to inspire the next generation.
