UAE officer who helped expat family reach Oman awarded

Muscat: A customs officer from UAE, Salem Al Badwawi, who was promoted by Dubai’s Ruler for helping out an expat family, has now been awarded by the International Institution for Tolerance (IIT).
Al Badwawi who was promoted to the rank of first officer, was commended by the IIT for his “noble and generous act” of helping a Syrian family that was stranded near the Hatta border. The family was on their way to Muscat, Oman during the Eid holidays.
The award ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Ahmed Khalfan Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Tolerance Award, and Khalifa Mohammed Al Suwaidi, General Coordinator
of the World Tolerance Summit. Managing director, H.E. Dr. Hamad Al Shaikh Al Shaibani presented Al Badwawi with a token of appreciation.
