Trump: Germany 'captive' to Russia after pipeline deal

U.S. President Donald Trump slams Germany on Wednesday over a gas pipeline deal with Russia, saying America's NATO ally is now "captive to Russia." He went on to criticize Germany for failing to raise defense spending more. Trump, before the summit in Brussels, said it was "very inappropriate" that the U.S. was paying for European defense against Russia while Berlin was supporting gas deals with Moscow. He is due to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on Monday.
