Khareef Salalah: Mind-blowing blowholes

Only a few steps away from the Marneef Cave, lie three fascinating blowholes known as Mughsayl Blowholes, named after the nearby beach of Mughsayl in Salalah.
It is one of the most popular attractions during Khareef season for those looking for a scenic experience.
This naturally occurring phenomena that Mother Nature offers to its visitors is a sight to behold. It is also a popular picnic spot for Dhofari families. **media[903133]**
The Mughsayl Natural Fountains (as tourists call them) are adjacent to the Marneef Cave, in which visitors walk down the stairs to reach the blowholes. These exciting holes-on-the-ground are situated above the sea and as the water gets rougher, the blowholes explode with water into the air, which can reach a height of up to 30 metres, depending on season.
For a perfect viewing experience, visitors can stand at one of the three galleries around the blowholes. Make sure to keep safe, as the sea might be rough, with high splashes.
But worry not, as the holes have mesh placed on them, they are a safe place for kids too. After watching the water blow up under your feet and rise up in the air, take a walk by Mughsayl’s sandy beach that stretches for kilometres and also go for a quick dip.
