Oman Cricket: GCC Rising Stars lift Women’s Cup

Muscat: GCC Rising Stars defeated GCC Muscat Stars to lift the Women’s Cup at the Gulf Cricket Centre (GCC) Annual Day Cricket Cup Tournament organised at Al Ghubra Power Plant ground here recently.
The tournament was organised as part of Gulf Cricket Center’s 20th Annual Day.
After being asked to bat first, GCC Muscat Stars scored 39 for the loss of three wickets in eight overs. Aekta Nair scored nine and Brunette Periara made seven.
For GCC Rising Stars, Payal Kanojia, Madiha Siddiqui and Manisha Sasankar took one wicket each.
In reply, GCC Rising Stars achieved their target in the fifth over with Madiha and Sonia remaining not out on 10 and 13 respectively.
