Hundreds held for labour violations

Labour violations continues to rise after hundreds more have been arrested. 470 violators were recorded last week, according to the Ministry of Manpower. Batinah had highest number of violations at 162, followed by Muscat at 132 cases. There were 470 arrests made, including 265 fugitives, and 25 without documents. The ministry also stated that 406 workers were deported in just the last week.
