Dubai: Aster DM Healthcare won the prestigious annual Gulf Business Award 2017 for the 'Healthcare Company of the Year' category.
Alisha Moopen, executive director & CEO - Hospital & Clinics in GCC, Aster DM Healthcare, received the award in a dazzling award ceremony held at Fairmont The Palm Hotel in Dubai on September 10, in the presence of the region’s prominent business leaders and top executives. The awards instituted by Motivate – judged by an independent panel and public voting – sought to celebrate excellence in the corporate world and recognise leaders across nine industries.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Azad Moopen, founder chairman & managing director of Aster DM Healthcare said, “We are proud to receive this honour from the gulf region on our ‘30th Anniversary Year’ - a landmark year of our journey towards the excellence in healthcare. We are happy that we could shoulder and add value to the healthcare infrastructure developments and a quality healthcare eco-system development in those regions we operate. We believe this is an honour to our entire workforce of about 20,000 staff engaged in catering to the need and services of about 50,000 people per day through our facilities spread across nine countries. Such recognition further motivates us to continue to work ceaselessly for ensuring quality healthcare at affordable cost to the patients, as part of a ‘Caring Mission with a Global Vision’, while we constantly trying to deliver our brand promise ‘We’ll Treat You Well’”.
The sixth edition of the event saw 27 awards given away during the evening in various categories. The Gulf Business Awards cover a wide spectrum of economic sectors, from energy to real estate. Each year, the award celebrates regional titans of industry, government officials, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as entrepreneurs. Professionally, Gulf Business Awards attendees are at the top of their game. Not only do they drive forward the corporate agenda, but they also drive the national and international agendas and the audience consists of those who have contributed in raising the Gulf's profile, both regionally and internationally. In each sector, a company and business leader of the year will be recognised.
