High water levels leads to house collapse in Oman

Muscat: Due to high water levels, a house collapsed in Wadi Bani Khalid in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, with people stuck inside, Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said.

Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said in a statement: "A house collapsed in Wadi Bani Khalid, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, with people inside. The incident is being followed up and dealt with by the specialised teams."

DAA said in another statement: "20 citizens were stuck inside three houses in Wadi Bani Khalid, Al-Qahm area. The matter is being dealt with and followed up by the relevant teams."

Meanwhile, rescue teams from the CDAA in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate were able to rescue 27 people stuck after a school bus was caught in a valley in the Wilayat of Ibra. They are all in good health.
