Thundershowers recorded over parts of Oman

Muscat: An active thunderstorm is spreading over the South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta Governorates, and it may expand to neighbouring areas during the coming hours.

The General Directorate of Meteorology added in today's weather update that Cumulus clouds formed over parts of Al Wusta Governorate near the Wilayat of Duqm, and rain of varying intensity and occasional thunderstorms were observed.

Rains are expected to continue tomorrow over the governorates of Al Wusta, Dhofar and south Al Sharqiyah and extend in the afternoon in North Al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhiliyah and South Al Batinah.
