Update: All students and staff at Indian School Wadi Kabir safe

Muscat: All the students and staff of Indian School Wadi Kabir are safe, principal of the school D N Rao said after a small fire incident on Thursday morning.

Around 320 students were evacuated to safety after fire broke out in the aid room of the building at 9.50 am.

“The woman who fainted following the fire is also fine,” the school official said, adding “Immediately we called the Royal Oman Police personnel who brought the fire under control.”

Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.
