137 arrested for violating Labour Law in Oman

Muscat: Special teams from Royal Oman Police (ROP) have arrested 137 expatriates for violating Labour Law and residency status in Sur, the authority tweeted on its official twitter handle.

According to the Ministry of Manpower, in April, 109 expatriate workers were arrested for violating labour law and residency status and deported.
In March also, 253 workers were found violating the Labour Law in Oman by a joint inspection team of manpower and police.
