More than 500 illegals arrested in Oman

Muscat: More than 500 workers were arrested during September 18 and 24, 2016 for violating the Labour Law, according to the weekly report of the joint inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower.
The inspection teams caught 477 workers, including 241 absconding workers, 207 astray workers and 29 workers with other violations.
The Governorate of North Al Batinah witnessed the largest number of workers violating the law with 165 followed by the Governorate of A’Dhahirah with 97 workers.
The competent authorities at the Ministry of Manpower are taking the legal procedures against them.
