Oman's royal office minister receives Italian defence minister

Muscat: Muscat: General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office received here yesterday Roberta Pinotti, Minister of Defence in the Republic of Italy and her accompanying delegation, within the framework of her current visit to the Sultanate.
General Al Nu’amani welcomed the guest who expressed her delight to visit the Sultanate.
The meeting exchanged cordial conversations and discussed a number of topics of interest between the two countries.
Joint interests
They also reviewed the good bilateral relations binding the Sultanate and Italy, besides touching on matters that contribute towards serving the joint interests of the two countries.
Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs and Roberta Pinotti, Minister of Defence attended the Omani-Italian joint military exercise (Jabal Shams 1), which is being implemented in the mountainous areas of Jabal Al Akhdar. Maj-.Gen Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), Italian Ambassador to the Sultanate and a number of officials of the Italian Defence Ministry were present on the occasion.
