Financial state of Omani economy stable: Council of Ministers

Muscat: Oman’s financial and economic condition from the beginning of 2016 until date was reviewed by the Council of Ministers at its session yesterday.
A presentation was made by the relevant organisations on the efforts made to address the global economic situation.
It was clear from the presentation that the Sultanate’s financial and economic condition in general is stable. It was thus affirmed to go ahead with the steps made to address the developments as they happen. It was also affirmed that the Sultanate will continue its development programmes to maintain economic stability taking into consideration the social dimension, creating an investor and investment-friendly environment, enhancing partnership with the private sector and supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The Council of Ministers thanked the efforts made by the competent organisations to address the changes taking place in the international arena. The Council of Ministers affirms to continue its follow up of the Sultanate’s growth pathways in response to the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
