Futaisi leads Oman delegation to Ashgabat

Ashgabat: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salim Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications chaired the Sultanate’s delegation to the UN Global Conference on Sustainable Transport at Turkmenistan’s capital of Ashgabat.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of the Republic of Turkmenistan opened, yesterday, the activities of the two–day conference.
Seventy eight states and government representatives are taking part in the conference.
The aim of the conference is to create international partnership for the development of transport systems.
It also aims to study the need for comprehensive cooperation for sustainable development in transport.
The Sultanate’s participation in the activities of the conference aimed to enhance economic partnership in the field of transport.
