Oman suffer another defeat in ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifier

Muscat: Oman boys suffered their second successive defeat when they were beaten by a massive 179-run margin by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the ICC U-19 World Cup Asia Qualifier Division 2 competition in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
The Sultanate squad, who began their campaign with an impressive victory over Thailand but lost their second match to Kuwait, came up against a strong UAE side on Saturday and found the going tough from the beginning.
After deciding to bat first, the UAE scored 243 for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs.
Ali Mirza with an unbeaten 84 was the top scorer for the UAE.
For Oman, Moshin Qureshi took three wickets while Ubaid Ullah bagged two.
In reply, Oman were bundled out for a paltry score of 64 in 20.1 overs.
Oman play their next match against Hong Kong on Sunday.
